ADDPLAN 5 MC
The indispensable tool for the design, simulation, and analysis of clinical trials

What's New in ADDPLAN 5 MC?

May 06, 2009

The graphical interface of ADDPLAN 5 MC was consistently developed according to modern Microsoft® Windows software. Some of the new features of ADDPLAN MC (which is fully integrated in the ADDPLAN package) are

  • Specific options for performing multi-armed designs including treatment arm selection
    • Confirmatory analysis for multi-armed trial with selection of treatment arms
    • Closed testing procedure (CTP)
    • Powerful simulation engine for performing multiarmed designs
    • Assess the power and ASN of adaptive designs
    • Choice of intersection tests: Dunnett, Bonferroni, Sidák, Simes, hierarchical testing
    • Comparison of selection rules
    • Comparison of dose-response shapes, e.g., linear, logistic, Emax, sigmoid Emax, exponential,...
    • Sample size reassessment procedures for multi-armed designs
    • Different sample size allocation over treatment arms
    • Multiplicity adjusted confidence intervals for many to one comparisons
    • Overall multiplicity adjusted p-values
  • Extensive choice of graphical illustration of simulation and study results
  • Planning, simulation, and analysis runs are completely separated in tabs
  • XML file storing system
  • File versions audit trail
  • Fully integrated adaptive and classical designs capabilities

ADDPLAN 5 MC

March 03, 2009

In April 2009, ADDPLAN will launch a new product designed to simulate, design, and analyze multi-arm trials, including dose-finding and seamless trials. ADDPLAN 5.0 MC - where 'MC' stands for 'Multiple Comparisons' - is made for clinical trial design professionals seeking

  • Exact Type I Error Control for Multiple Treatment Arms, Multiple Treatment Comparisons, and Multiple Interim Analyses
  • Multiplicity Adjusted Confidence Intervals
  • Powerful Simulation Engine
  • Customizable Output.

ADDPLAN 4 ready for shipping

October 10, 2007

ADDPLAN Release 4 is fully validated and now ready for shipping.

The software together with the new software documentation was delivered to all licensees on October 10, 2007.

ADDPLAN's version 4 beta can be downloaded

May 21, 2007

Download the beta version of ADDPLAN 4 from our homepage to assess the facilities of the new ADDPLAN version.

Register and go to the download area of the ADDPLAN homepage.

Register and keep informed about new developments of the software.

The official release will be released in July 2007.

Note:
You can run ADDPLAN 3.1 and ADDPLAN 4.0 in parallel.
So if you install ADDPLAN 4.0, the current release (which is 3.1) is still working.

ADDPLAN's version 4 soon to be released

ADDPLAN's version 4 soon to be released

What's new in ADDPLAN 4?

There are many new features and enhancements implemented in release 4. Some of these are:

  • Appearance and arrangement completely redesigned
  • New analysis options:
    • Likelihood function of unknown parameter can optionally be added to the overall conditional power plot, i.e., use Bayesian methods for flexible monitoring of clinical trials
    • Analysis results and calculation of confidence intervals and p-values does account for binding or non-binding stopping for futility
    • Noninferiority for survival
    • Equivalence testing (all designs)
  • Conventional group sequential designs fully supported
  • Optional choice between classical method and inverse normal technique
  • Alpha spending function approach accounts for random overrunning in group sequential case (calculation of critical values and performing group sequential analysis)
  • Overall and stagewise data can be entered in all analysis forms
  • Computation methods are permanently saved in ada file
  • New output chart: Test result in decision boundaries chart
  • Update check added
  • Plan, analysis, and simulation files are saved as binary (not ASCII) files
  • Color and font selection possible
  • Different optimizing criteria for calculation of optimum test design
  • Specification of odds ratio provided in plan for rates
  • New planning options:
    • Noninferiority for survival designs
    • Equivalence testing (all designs)
    • Optimum allocation ratio in survival designs
  • Stopping for futility bounds can be entered stagewise
  • Optional choice between binding and non-binding stopping for futility
  • New output chart: Simulation results (power and ASN)
  • Progress bar included
  • Simulation design parameters can be saved in a file
  • A seed number can optionally be specified and stored in the .sad file to reproduce simulation results
  • Unequal allocation ratio can be specified in simulation runs for
    • Comparison of two means
    • Comparison of two rates
    • Survival design
  • New simulation options:
    • Noninferiority for survival
    • Equivalence testing (all designs)
  • Rewritten and enhanced documentation and online help
